SCW counselors use empirically supported treatments and take care to check in regularly to ensure that we are giving you the best service possible. Individual counseling is available on our sliding scale starting at $30 per session, with no income verification required.
How We Can Help
Life can be complicated. You might feel like something needs to change and you've tried just about everything. Perhaps the advice of family and friends hasn't worked either, or maybe it seems like the advice was meant for someone else. Maybe you don't even feel comfortable talking to the people in your life about your problems. There is no single way to navigate life's challenges, but counseling can help to identify the way that fits right for you. SCW counselors will help you to determine goals for counseling and create new ways to see the changes you want for yourself and your relationships.
Counseling begins with an intake session for you and your counselor to discuss what's bringing you to SCW and what you hope to get out of sessions. With this information, you and your counselor will work together to determine if you want support that is more calm and curious, challenging and direct, or anywhere in between. SCW counselors most often use an integrative approach that matches your needs with the most helpful questions, perspectives, and tools. Our goal is simple: to help you feel empowered to tackle all that life has to offer in the way that feels right for you. Whether you live in a major metro area or a rural community where mental health providers are scarce, quality therapy is within reach.
